Shortened URLs. Evolved.

Bitly was born out of a simple necessity. To shorten links to fit Twitter’s character limit. But we quickly evolved from that... from a simple link shortener to a robust link management platform. And it was time to proclaim our distinguished, enterprise solution that was solving complex problems for marketers.

EVOLVING THE BRAND

When I joined Bitly, I inherited a very well known and loved brand. What a dream. My objective quickly involved building out the visual identity and establishing guidelines. By doing this, we could protect the strength of the brand so that our team and our partners could continue to create value around it.

What that meant for our product

With the goal of establishing enterprise rapport, we knew that the product itself needed an overall refresh. It needed a refresh from a design perspective, an engineering, and business perspective. Working closely with our product managers, ux designers, engineers, and stakeholders, an entire platform redesign was born. Since launching the redesigned platform, we've seen a 34% increase in monthly active users.

APPLYING THE EVOLUTION TO ALL OF OUR ASSETS

As we started to work through the replatforming of our enterprise product, we also knew that key satellite experiences needed the same love and attention. From our apps to our social platforms, to our marketing materials and blog, keeping the brand relevant is always top of mind.
